Andy Warhol exhibition to open in Pardubice

The work of the renowned Pop Art artist Andy Warhol will be on show at the Gočár Gallery in Pardubice as of February 24. More than 150 of the artists’ works will be loaned to the gallery by the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce, Slovakia, which, together with the Pittsburgh Museum, is the only museum in the world that cares for the legacy of the famous artist. The exhibition will offer a cross-section of the artist's work, from early pen drawings to famous serial paintings. Warhol's works have not been on show in Czechia for over a decade. Warhol's parents, who emigrated to the USA, came from the village of Miková near Medzilaborce in Slovakia.
