Andrej Babiš acknowledges election defeat

At a press briefing shortly after the results of the presidential elections were announced Andrej Babiš acknowledged his defeat and congratulated Peter Pavel on being elected the next president of Czechia. He said he hoped Mr. Pavel would be a president for all citizens and asked his supporters to accept the outcome of the elections and not further escalate tensions in society. Regarding his own political future, he said his ANO party was not going anywhere and its future plans would be charted at a party conference on February 8.
