Analysts: US tariffs could affect Czech auto parts suppliers

US tariffs on car imports will mainly affect Czech car-parts suppliers, but Czech carmakers will feel little impact, say analysts. The tariffs, starting April 2, will impose a 25% tax on all imported cars not made in the US.

According to analysts, Czechia exports few cars to the US, so the direct impact on Czech carmakers will be minimal. However, companies supplying parts for German cars could face indirect effects.

The tariffs primarily target Mexico and Canada, which supply 46% of US car imports.
