Analysts: Inflation below 9 percent in July

Inflation continues to decline in Czechia and dropped to below 9 percent in July, down from 9.7 in June, according to analysts polled by the ctk news agency. The declining trend continued largely due to the so-called “base-effect”, since consumer prices rose compared to the previous month, mainly thanks to high recreational service costs.

In June inflation dropped below the 10 percent mark for the first time since January 2022. The Czech Statistics Office will issue official data on July inflation on Thursday.
