Amazon opens second Czech centre in Olomouc Region

The multinational online retailer Amazon opened a new distribution centre in the small town of Kojetín in the Olomouc Region on Monday. The 50,000 square-metre centre should employ up to 2,000 people, the company said.

Amazon’s second distribution centre in Czechia is fitted with the latest robotic technology, a representative said.

The firm opened its first Czech centre, on the outskirts of Prague, in 2015 and now employs 4,000 people in the country.
