Air pollution deteriorates in eastern Bohemia, northern Moravia

Air pollution exceeded the permitted levels on Sunday in the east-Bohemian regions of Pardubice and Hradec Králové as well as in the northeastern Moravian-Silesian region, according to data released by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute on Sunday. The northeastern Czech Republic is one of Europe’s most polluted regions due to heavy industry located on both sides of the Czech-Polish border.
