Additional PCR test for people with “South African” mutation
Different quarantine rules will apply for people who contract the “South African” mutation of the coronavirus, Health Minister Jan Blatný announced on Monday.
The quarantine period was already extended for all, from 10 to 14 days, due to the spread of the “British” variant and people with the “South African” mutation will in addition have to undergo a PCR test at the end of that period.
To date seven cases of the “South African” mutation have been detected in Brno. The “British” mutation is now dominant in most parts of the country.
