11 people die in apartment building fire in Bohumín

Eleven people were killed in a fire in an apartment building in the North Moravian town of Bohumín on Saturday.

According to the firefighters spokesman, six people, three adults and three children, died in an appartment on the 11th-floor, where the fire broke out.

Another five people died after they were trying to escape from the building by jumping from its windows on the 12th floor.

Two firefighters have reportedly suffered injuries while fighting the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
