Wednesday CR Covid tally up by half on week earlier

Some 11,452 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the Czech Republic on Wednesday. This represents a rise of more than half on the same day last week. The seven-day average incidence rate was at 478 per 100,000 inhabitants, the highest it has been since before Christmas.

By contrast the number of people in hospital has been falling and is at its lowest since the end of October.
