Unemployment rose to 4 percent in December

Unemployment rose in the Czech Republic in December to 4 percent, Labour Office data published on Friday shows. It is the highest rate of joblessness since the summer of 2017. The number of jobs posted in December rose as well, but only by a few hundred.

While unemployment is expected to continue to rise according to several economists, quoted by the Czech News Agency, it is still forecast to be among the lowest in the European Union.
