Thousands of people contribute to National Food Collection
Thousands of people contributed to the National Food Collection on Saturday buying food for the needy in over 600 stores and supermarkets and via two e-shops. The collection in aid of charity is especially important this year because due to the coronavirus pandemic food banks were fast running out of supplies.
Food banks will also receive an additional 20 million crowns from the state this year, in line with the government’s decision on Friday. The overall contribution to food banks from the state will thus reach 95 million crowns and the government has promised to help further if needed.
