State likely to put back deadline for income tax returns by month

The Czech state looks set to put back the date by which income tax returns must be filed, Czech Television reported on Sunday. Payers will be able to send in their tax returns by May 3 instead of the usual date of the end of March under a plan due to be considered by the cabinet on Monday. If this data is sent electronically the deadline should be June 1.

Last year the date for filing income tax returns was postponed until the middle of August because of the coronavirus crisis.
