School system to go to level three from December 7

The Ministry of Education says that the country’s schools will move to the provisions outlined for level three on the government’s colour-coded system of coronavirus measures from Monday December 7, several days after that change comes into effect for other areas.

Students at secondary schools, conservatories and higher vocational schools will alternate in-person lessons with online ones on a weekly basis. First year students will also be allowed to return to universities, provided they are in groups of 20 or fewer.

Face masks will be required at all times, except at special needs schools and kindergartens. PE teaching and music lessons will not take place, except where they are main fields of study.
