Report: Most Pervitin seized in Europe made in Czech Republic

Most of the crystal methamphetamine known as Pervitin seized in Europe comes from the Czech Republic, mainly from areas bordering on neighbour states, suggests an annual report released by the European monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction, the EMCDDA.

In 2018, police in the European Union seized 620 kilos of the illegal drug, most of it in France and the Czech Republic.

According to the report, much of the drug produced in the Czech Republic is extracted from a medicine containing pseudoephedrine, available on prescription.
