Registered Covid infections in CR passes 1.6 million mark
The number of recorded cases of Covid-19 in the Czech Republic has now passed 1.6 million, according to official figures published on Saturday. Experts say, however, that the real number of infections in the country of 10.7 million could be two or three times higher.
Some 3,206 new Covid cases registered on Friday, a fall of around a third on the same day last week. Over 64,500 vaccinations against the virus were administered, bringing the total number to 2.42 million.
The coronavirus reproduction stood at 0.81 on Friday.
