Refugees can continue to use Prague public transport for free until 12 June

The Prague transport company DPP will continue to allow Ukrainian refugees to use its public transport network for free until 12 June, the news site Novinky reported.

Up until now, refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine have been able to travel for free simply by showing their Ukrainian passport and special emergency visa. From June 1, this privilege was due to end. However, the deadline has now been moved to 12 June due to technical problems.

From 12 June, refugees will have to purchase a special coupon for people in material need within five days of obtaining their visa. The cost of the coupon will be CZK 165 monthly or CZK 444 quarterly.
