Vaclav Havel is a famous- writer and dramatist, he was the leading figure of the 1989 Velvet Revolution, which ended the years of Communist oppression under which he himself had suffered. He was the last President of Czechoslovakia and first President of the Czech Republic. Vaclav Havel, widely recognised and revered throughout the world, faces numerous problems at home.
