Prague city transport to run on holiday timetables in January

Throughout the month of January, Prague's public transport will run according to holiday timetables, which will mean an extension of intervals, especially at peak times. The reason for the measure, according to the Prague City Transit Authority, is a significant decrease in passengers due to more people working from home during the Covid epidemic. Statistics suggest that the drop in passengers is about 30 percent. If the pandemic situation improves, public transport will return to normal operations on Monday, January 31, 2022. The restriction was also made with regard to a lack of drivers due to illness and quarantine.
