Police force will need to replace around 4,000 of its vehicles over next two years

The police on Friday received 85 new Škoda service Octavias for 36 million crowns from the Mláda Boleslav-based carmaker. The police force currently of 8,000 vehicles currently in use, around half will need to be replaced over the next two years. The force is therefore looking for finances in cooperation with the Interior Ministry. Police President Tomáš Tuhý said on Friday the force will present a new modified vehicle, complete with racks for long firearms, new flashing lights and a multi-purpose display.
