Czech foreign minister condemns irresponsible attack on nuclear power plant
Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky has strongly condemned the Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station in Ukraine. Responding to the news on Twitter early on Friday, Minister Lipavsky said he was shocked by the reckless and irresponsible attack on a nuclear power plant that could threaten the safety of the whole of Europe. Citing the International Atomic Energy Agency, the head of the State Office for Nuclear Safety Dana Drábová reassured Czechs that the shelling and subsequent fire had not affected essential equipment and the plant was now secure.
