Czech ski resorts increasingly turn to artificial snow to maintain slopes
Modern technologies are increasingly being utilized to maintain Czech ski slopes, according to the Association of Mountain Resorts.
More than 70 percent of ski areas have automated snowmaking systems, some of which also use SNOWSat technology, which tracks snowfall using GPS and satellite data.
In Horní Mísečky and Medvědín in the Špindlerův Mlýn Ski Area in the Giant Mountains, this reduced the maintenance of the slopes by a fifth.
