Communist leadership divided over state budget deficit

The broader leadership of the Communist Party (KSČM) failed to reach a unified position on the state budget and so will leave the decision to the parliamentary club.

MPs are due to vote on the government's proposal to increase the budget deficit from 320 billion to 500 billion crowns on Thursday. The minority ANO-Social Democrat coalition government has relied on support from the Communists to pass much of its agenda.
