Czech Police helps uncover international criminal ring trading in hormonal substances

In an international collaboration, the Czech Police has helped uncover a wide-ranging trade network in illegal hormonal substances, the Czech News Agency reported on Friday. The group of criminals organised the imports of materials from which it then manufactured the hormonal substances in sports facilities spread across various states. Six people in the Czech Republic have been charged in connection with the scheme, along with 18 in Slovakia and further individuals in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden.

According to the head of the Czech National Drug Headquarters, Jakub Frydrych, this is one of the most significant cases that the Czech Police has worked on over the past 15 years.
