Czech national census begins on Saturday

The 2021 national census begins on Saturday. Czech citizens and foreigners with permanent residency or living here for more than 90 days as of the start date must complete the survey by May 11 or face a fine of up to 10,000 crowns. The deadline for submitting online forms is April 9.

According to the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ), more than two-thirds of people are expected to use the online census form. Translations are available in seven languages (English, German, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Vietnamese and Romani) but the survey must be completed in Czech.
