Czech police are investigating the case of a woman who wore a T-shirt to a Prague demonstration in support of Palestine bearing the words '1972 Olympics', apparently referencing the 1972 Munich Olympics, where a Palestinian terrorist attack resulted in the death of eleven Israeli citizens, including five athletes. The woman was spotted wearing the T-shirt at a demonstration in Prague's Wenceslas Square on Wednesday evening.
Interior Minister Vít Rakušan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that in the context of the recent terrorist attacks on Israel, wearing such an item of clothing shows cynicism, stupidity and contempt for the basic values of society.

A team of researchers and doctors from Ostrava have demonstrated the presence of microplastics in human amniotic fluid and the placenta, apparently for the first time ever, the Czech News Agency reports. They plan to continue their research and evaluate whether and how microplastics can harm human fetuses or complicate pregnancy. Experimental studies on mice have already shown that the presence of microplastics led to placenta malfunction, smaller babies and premature births, so the team plans to study whether the same results can be found in humans.
The research samples were taken from women whose pregnancies were complicated by premature amniotic fluid drainage. In nine out of ten women, the presence of microplastics in the amniotic fluid or placenta was confirmed.

A Prague district court has found former MP Dominik Feri guilty of two counts of rape and one attempted rape and sentenced him to three years in prison. The 27-year-old one-time TOP 09 party politician immediately appealed against the decision, telling reporters he was disappointed by the verdict and that he hoped that the appeals court would have a different opinion on the case.
The trial of the former MP, once the youngest deputy in the Czech lower house, began in February of this year and has attracted much media attention in Czechia. Feri has consistently denied the rape charges, saying that the sex had been consensual, although conceding that his behaviour may have been “inappropriate” at times.
