New five-party cabinet approves policy program

The new coalition government has approved its policy program for the next four years in office. It will be presented to the Chamber of Deputies next Wednesday together with a request for a vote of confidence. It is not yet clear when the document will be made public.

According to some cabinet members, the government’s policy program doesn’t differ significantly from the coalition agreement, released in November. The  programme will be made public on Friday.

According to the working version of the document, cited by the Czech News Agency, it pledges, among other things, to adopt the first stage of the pension reform by the end of 2023. The new government has a comfortable 108-seat majority in the lower house.
