Neuvirth, 22, achieves first NHL shutout

Czech ice hockey goaltender Michal Neuvirth notched up the first shutout of his career in the NHL on Wednesday, stopping 29 shots as his club Washington Capitals beat Carolina Hurricanes 3:0. Neuvirth, who is only 22, has played for Washington in eight of their nine games this season, including six victories.
