Nearly 3,500 new Covid cases recorded Tuesday

Some 3,437 new case of Covid-19 were registered in the Czech Republic on Tuesday. The figure was around 300 fewer than on Monday but about 200 more than Tuesday last week.

There were 1,086 people in hospital with the coronavirus on Tuesday, up from 700 a week previously.

The current Covid wave began in early June. It should peak at the end of July, experts say, though numbers are unlikely to fall off greatly.
