More health workers seeking psychotherapy
The number of Czech health workers seeking psychotherapy has risen by twenty percent in the last two months, according to an association of 700 psychotherapists.
They say the main reasons are frustration and a sense of helplessness from the high number of patients who are dying of Covid and also a fear of making a mistake at a time when most health workers are completely exhausted.
Many of those seeking help are specialists from outpatient clinics who have been helping out in hospitals and who are not accustomed to working in intensive care.
