More than 2,000 Covid cases detected among pupils since start of school year

Some 2,420 Czech pupils have tested positive for Covid-19 since the beginning of the school year, Chief Hygienist Pavla Svrčinová Pavla Svrčinová said on Friday.  Around 12,000 children were placed in quarantine and four schools had to be closed.

After a testing campaign in all schools in the country in early September, which revealed 438 positive cases, schools are no longer required to test their pupils.
