Man gets 15 years in jail for driving his car into group of people in fit of rage

The High Court in Olomouc has sentenced a 30-year old man to 15 years in prison for intentionally driving his car into a group of people in a fit of rage. One of the four persons injured remains in a coma. The man had been drinking heavily and had had a row with his girlfriend when he took the wheel of his Skoda Fabia. The young woman refused to get into the car with him and he drove off in a rage only to return a few minutes later and in front of witnesses accelerated and drove the car into a group of bystanders. He told the court he suffered a bad migraine attack and lost control.
