Jakub Kulhánek to be appointed foreign minister on April 21
President Miloš Zeman will appoint Jakub Kulhánek foreign minister at Prague Castle next Wednesday, the president’s spokesman reported, shortly after the head of state met with the Social Democratic Party’s candidate for the post.
Jakub Kulhánek, who is currently serving as deputy interior minister, will replace Tomáš Petříček, who was dismissed from office after making an unsuccessful bid for the top party post.
Mr. Kulhánek said he wanted to hold the set foreign policy course and emphasized the need for a coordinated foreign policy.
