Interior minister to propose quarantine exemptions for specific jobs

This coming Monday, Interior Minister Vít Rakušan will propose a list of jobs that workers will be able to continue to carry out even if their antigen test is positive for Covid-19, he told the TV station CNN Prima News on Sunday.

The idea is to select key areas of state infrastructure which need to remain in operation during the expected onset of the latest, omicron wave of the coronavirus epidemic. According to the head of the Association of Commerce and Tourism Tomáš Prouza, this could include jobs such in laundry facilities that wash textiles used in hospitals, or truck drivers who deliver food supplies. Social and health workers could also be included, according to Health Minister Vlastimil Válek.
