In this week's Insight Central Europe: Ankara has been given the green light to start preparing for EU membership and begin accession talks in October 2005. Where does Central Europe lie in the great Turkey debate? Growing numbers of Israelis with Polish roots have been queuing up in front of the Polish embassy in Tel Aviv, in hopes of making Poland - the new EU state - their second homeland. Western Wireless is suing Slovenia for 174 million euros. The US-based company says Slovenia has done little to regulate its telecommunication market. Hungary drums up choreographers, dancers, and actors from eight countries for one of its biggest 2005 cultural projects - a travelling European dance and theatre ensemble.
