Health minister highly critical of bars and restaurants that violated closing time on Friday

Czech police had to be put in action to force the closure of several clubs and restaurants across the Czech Republic who did not follow the government order to close at 10pm this Friday. In some cases, it was reported that club owners closed their facilities after a police warning only to reopen once law enforcement left the scene.

Health Minister Jan Blatný criticised the violation of government coronavirus rules as “unacceptable” and “irresponsible” He said that the country currently finds itself between levels three and four of the PES coronavirus emergency system and reminded gastronomy business owners that they will have to close again if the threat level reaches level four again.
