Health minister: Covid testing strategy being reviewed
Health Minister Jan Blatný wants to propose repeated testing of selected groups by antigen tests and has suggested that the state should financially contribute to responsible companies that test employees at their own expense.
Minister Blatný told TV prima on Sunday that the present testing system for Covid-19 in the Czech Republic costs about two to three billion crowns a month adding that it was important that such a large sum of money be invested wisely.
The ministry said the testing strategy was being reviewed and would likely focus on high-risk groups in the future. According to him, it also makes sense to test more where larger numbers of people meet.
