Head of Belarusian FA expelled from Czech Republic
The Czech police have ordered the president of the Belarusian Football Association, Vladimir Bazanov, to leave the country. He and his wife were detained for several hours on Tuesday by migration police in the Moravian-Silesian Region after entering the country without a visa. They also breached regulations aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus, police said.
Mr. Bazanov came to watch a Women’s World Cup qualifier between the Czech Republic and Belarus. The game was cancelled after three Belarusian players tested positive for Covid.
