Friday Covid new infections number twice figure week earlier

There were 13,151 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Czech Republic on Friday. It was the largest one-day jump in a month and was around double the figure recorded the previous Friday.

Meanwhile, hospitalisations with Covid continue to decline, with the number on Friday standing at 1,802, a fall of around one-third on a week earlier and the lowest tally since the end of October.
