Freedom Festival in Zlín to support Belarusians fighting for democracy

This year's Freedom Festival in Zlín, which commemorates the anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, will also support Belarusians fighting for democratic change.

A message in Belarusian will appear on the large tarpaulins at the theatre and on Peace Square, and also spelled out in candles, festival organizer Tomáš Pasterný from Zlín Crossroads told ČTK.

There will also be a stage reading of the contemporary Belarusian play Insult as part of the worldwide Insulted project, which theatres in the US, Great Britain, Russia, France, Georgia and Germany have joined.
