Electricity supplies fully restored after Friday night’s windstorm
Power companies have fully restored electricity supplies that had been disrupted on Friday night by a powerful windstorm, Czech Radio informed on Sunday.
Some 160,000 households were left without electricity as a result of the storm that swept across most of the country, uprooting trees, damaging roofs and bringing down powerlines in places.
Fire crews were called to over 1000 emergencies in the course of Friday night. The most affected regions were Central Bohemia, Pilsen and Karlovy Vary.
