Czechs among states calling for Commission to address energy price spikes

The Czech Republic is one of five EU member states that have issued a joint appeal for the European Commission to address the issue of rising energy prices. A statement from the group calls for better coordination when it comes to purchasing and building strategic gas reserves, reform of the electricity market and reduction of dependence on energy imports.

The call was signed by the ministers from the Czech Republic, Greece, Spain, France and Romania.
