Czech wines won record 1,100 medals in foreign competitions

Winemakers from Moravia and Bohemia won a record 1,100 medals at international competitions last year, including 29 gold and 20 platinum ones.

The most champion titles, four, were bestowed upon Czech white wines at an international competition in Strasbourg, with the most gold medals, ten, awarded them at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition in the USA.

Among the most successful Czech wineries was B / V from Ratíškovice, which won competitions at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Le Mondial des Vins Blancs, and medals at the Mundus Vini competition in Germany.
