Czech team knocked-out of European Volleyball Championship after losing to Slovenia
The Czech volleyball team has been knocked out of the European Championships after losing 0:3 on sets to Slovenia in the quarter-finals in Ostrava on Wednesday. The match was attended by an unusually high number of home fans - more than 5,000 - who honoured the team by chanting "Hoši, děkujem!" (Thanks boys) after the match.
The Czech team, which had managed to knock-out Olympic champions France in the previous last-16 match, were not able to repeat the miracle against the Slovene team, losing 21:25, 19:25 a 25:27.
