Czech president to UEFA: punishment for Kúdela blatantly unfair
The President's Office has addressed a complaint to the UEFA disciplinary commission in connection with the 10-match ban, which was awarded to Slavia defender Ondřej Kúdela for an alleged racist insult in a match against Glasgow Rangers. In the letter, Chancellor Vratislav Mynář says the punishment meted out to Kúdela was disproportionately heavy, particularly for an unproven racial slur, in comparison with the penalties for the Glasgow Rangers players, who got 3- and 4-match bans for violence. The letter says the president is disappointed with the disciplinary commission ruling, which he considers blatantly unfair.
