Czech President Miloš Zeman released from hospital

Czech President Miloš Zeman has been released from Prague’s Central Military Hospital, where he spent six weeks getting treatment for an unspecified chronic condition.

The team of physicians attending to the head of state recommended  that he receive further care in a specialised medical facility, however, Mr Zeman opted for home care services provided by a private company.

The Czech head of state is expected to appoint Petr Fiala, leader of the Civic Democrats, as the new prime minister on Friday at Lány chateau.
