Czech PM highlights need to improve trade relations between US and EU

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš considers it important to improve trade relations between the United States and the European Union, and sees considerable scope for scientific cooperation in bilateral relations.

In an online conference on Transatlantic relations, the prime minister said the Czech Republic was ready  to actively cooperate with the new US administration in bringing this about.

In the sphere of scientific cooperation he said the Czech Republic was interested in working with the US and Canada on the development and operation of new environmentally-friendly technologies.

He likewise expressed the hope that under the Biden administration the US will return to the Paris Climate Agreement.
