Czech Industrial production decreased by 1.4 percent in August

Industrial production saw a decrease in real terms by 1.4 percent in August year-on-year, according to the Czech Statistics Agency. Compared to the same month last year, the value of new orders fell by 3.5 percent.

In July, Czech industrial production increased by 6.8 percent. In month-on-month terms, the August fall in Czech production was equivalent to 3.2 percent.

Statisticians believe that the decrease in production was influenced by temporary shutdowns and holidays.
