Czech foreign minister begins two-day visit to Qatar

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský begins a two-day working visit to Qatar on Wednesday, during which he is due to open the first Czech embassy in the capital Doha.

The minister will also meet his counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani to discuss, among other things, energy supplies from Russia. On Thursday, he is expected to hold talks with the Qatari ministers for energy and defence.
