Czech classical recording Bohemian Tales nominated for a Grammy Award
The recording Bohemian Tales with Czech conductor Jakub Hrůša and featuring violinist Augustin Hadelich has been nominated for a Grammy Award. The winners are to be announced on January 31.
The album comprises violin compositions by the famous Czech composers Antonín Dvořák, Josef Suk and Leoš Janáček was made with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Hrůša and Hadelich performed Dvořák’s Violin Concerto together for the first time in 2017, accompanied by the New York Philharmonic. The New York Times called named Hrůša a fast-rising star and Hadelich among the best violinists of his generation.
