Covid statistics: Czech Republic fifth least affected EU state

The Czech Republic is currently the fifth least affected country by the pandemic in the European Union, according to data released by the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The country now has 12 newly confirmed cases per 1,000 inhabitants. The highest incidence is in Prague, where there are 28 new cases per week per 100,000 inhabitants and the Liberec region with 21 cases. 56 people are currently hospitalized with the infection.
